Art Playdates

The purpose of Art Playdates is to show up for a couple of hours for your inner child to PLAY. Each playdate will have a unique inspiration from nature, art history or investigation of an idea. All the materials will be provided, or you can bring your own favorite sketchbook and art things. You don't need to be good at art to come! Show up as you are to learn, observe, make, share, and enjoy time set aside just for you.

Materials: Watercolor, gouache, color pencils, watercolor pencils, markers, different dip pens, brush pens, acrylic paint, collage materials, etc. Paper will be mixed media or watercolor paper depending on project.

Inspiration: Patterns in Nature

There are patterns everywhere in nature! We'll zoom in on a few examples and allow it to inform our art play.

Inspiration: Vessels

A still life set up of vessels of all shapes and sizes.

Inspiration: Unique plants of the Sonoran Desert

The Sonoran Desert is home to many drought tolerant cacti and plants. Let's take a closer look at them!
